Reaction after Morocco were held to a 2-2 draw by South Africa. The result saw them go out of the African Cup of Nations.

Morocco's coach wipes away tears of disappointment for his last press conference in this Africa Cup of Nations.

Host South Africa advance to the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations after finishing top of Group A.

Morocco looked like they were also going through, for the first time since 2004, after leading twice.

But on both occasions South Africa fought back.

So Cape Verde were the other team through to the next round in their first major tournament, after beating Angola 2-1.

Moroccan coach Rachid Taoussi angered by journalists getting the facts wrong:

"We did not lose, no! Repeat, not loss! You did not qualify, ok, but not loss."

Congratulating his players for their performance:

"You know I always like to meet you, but at the moment I am affected after our exit from the championship, but we exit with honour. First of all I would like to congratulate the Moroccan players for their valour and manly performance and the discipline that some people mention before because our captain is very disciplined person. I congratulate the players for the technical discipline and the courage way they have been played".

The Moroccan coach grew increasingly annoyed with the media:

"You are wrong, because we scored the first goal, and we barely killed the game with our second goal. I think your analysis is wrong, Morocco ran the show tonight."

Rachid Taoussi insisting that Morocco had "run the show" against South Africa, and not the other way around.
