Should we pay our kids for chores? What do you think about giving kids chore checks to help with cleaning? I think parents are equal as to why they want to or do not want to pay their kids for chores. Those that do, maybe your like me. You want to! You see the benefits beyond the money in exchange for help but also you do not know how to make it stick? I asked my husband this recently and pondered it myself for awhile. I kept reaching the same conclusions. I asked myself how can I make it work this time? In the past it was not efficient and failed! What could I change to make it a better system this time? I need something in place for when they also chose to not get things done, that also needs to work as a consequence.

So, paying chore checks is how I plan to go about money for the kids in our household. This is going to be an experiment with this chore chart for the family to see how it goes. I did not set in stone how many times the chores will be done or when they will be done or make up my mind on how much to pay for each chore task as of yet. I am still figuring that out but wanted to share my chore check system and why I decided to pay for chores again in case you want to do it also and start allowing your kids to learn new life skills, learn money management, and start contributing to your household more consistently so you can free up time or mental space for yourself and for some give your kids a budget in general if your able to do so.
