Do you have a fabric stash that's been taking over your space, your time, and your mind? Do you feel guilty, overwhelmed, or anxious when you see all the fabric you've accumulated, but haven't used for ages? Do you want to declutter your fabric stash, not just physically, but also emotionally, and feel lighter, freer, and happier? Then this video series is for you!

In this first part, I'll share with you my personal experience of clearing out my fabric stash, and why it's been challenging, but also rewarding, for my mental health and creativity. I'll talk about the reasons why I've hoarded so much fabric, such as fear of missing out, sentimentality, or perfectionism, and how these reasons have influenced my behavior and my feelings. I'll also introduce you to the Konmari method, a popular and effective approach to tidying up, that focuses on joy, gratitude, and intuition.

I'll show you how I'm using the Konmari method to clear out my fabric stash, by sorting through each piece of fabric, and asking myself the crucial question: "Does this spark joy?" Joy can be a powerful and reliable indicator of what we truly value, what we need, and what we love, and how it can guide us towards a more intentional and fulfilling life. I'll give you some examples of fabrics that spark joy for me, and some that don't, and how I'm making decisions based on my joy-meter.

I'll also share with you some tips and tricks for storing, organizing, and displaying fabric, that can help you appreciate and use your fabric stash more effectively, and that can also inspire you to create new projects and combinations. You'll see how a little bit of creativity and a lot of honesty can transform your fabric stash from a burden into a source of joy and inspiration.
