This run uses a full sanity team with Gabriel for conversion. Giles' secondary element is forest. Secondary element damage is usually weak (35% of primary element damage), but due to the +100% counter element bonus in codex, his forest chains do about as much damage as his fire chains, which isn't great but still serviceable damage. He's mostly here to kill off stray mirages that Lenore can't reach on some turns, which makes runs more consistent and less reliant on RNG.

Sanity Management in this video:

You want to stay at 0 sanity throughout the run for max damage from Lenore, while killing new mirages every turn to avoid getting hit by them and to avoid them blocking your path. This is a basic outline of how sanity is managed in this run.
At the end of each turn,

1. If May active is up - Draw card ; Use May active ; Draw twice if mirage will get destroyed by Lenore chain, otherwise draw once and use Giles active on mirage to reach 0 sanity.

2. If May active is not up - Draw card ; Use Sanity restore card combo with Jeno ; Draw once and use 1x3 Lenore active to reach 0 sanity.

You deviate from the script for extra Jeno buffs or if you need to heal more to survive. At the start of the run, dump sanity to hit 0 and start buffing your chars. Towards the end of the run if you feel like you have excess HP/sanity, start using them up on more Giles/Lenore actives for more damage.
