The royal couple were in Falmouth for the first time as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.

During their time in the coastal town, Prince William and Kate Middleton engaged in boat racing, boat repairs and unexpectedly met up with a former school teacher of Kate's at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. They later went onto the Dracaena Centre, also in Falmouth, where they met homeless people who have been helped by the St Petrocs charity.

It was their first trip to the county since taking the roles as Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, although Prince William visited alone in late November. It was also the couple's first joint Royal Visit to Cornwall since 2016 as Kate Middleton recalled "fond memories" of the county.
