Cataloochee Copperhead - Fly Tying Appalachian/Great Smoky Mountain Trout Patterns

Credited to Kirk Jenkins from Newport, Tennessee, this pattern was originally called a Honey Quill and eventually changed to the Cataloochee Copperhead when he started tying it with the ginger tail and hackle.

Hook: #12-16 standard dry fly
Thread: Black
Wings: Light ginger hackle tips
Tail: Ginger hackle fibers
Body: Stripped hackle quill
Hackle: Ginger or light brown dry fly hackle
