LEADIN
Art inspired by motorbikes, custom made machines and stunts by international stars have been featured at India Bike Week 2016.
Also at the event for the first time, the 'lady riders' urging more women to take to the roads on two wheels.
STORYLINE
This is a motorbike lover's dream event - India Bike Week 2016.
The organisers say the festival held in the south western beach side state of Goa is the largest motorbike show of its kind in Asia, bringing together nearly 12,000 professional and amateur bike riders and enthusiasts.
Some of India's best custom design bikes and popular biking clubs are here - revving up for the inaugural parade (Saturday).
A star attraction for those passionate about adventure biking and travel is C.S. Santosh , India's best known off-road racer.
Santosh says he's happy that the festival's grown over the years, combined with the rise in popularity of the biking culture.
Another first this year is the participation by a group of 19 women bikers.
Traditionally seen as dominated by men , the biking scene in India has few women riders.
But this may be changing.
The festival is also a meeting ground for bike designers and moto-sculpturists.
