Here we check out how to fit an e60 M5 steering wheel into a pre-LCI e63 645ci. The procedure is fairly simple and most of the information is in the video. Anything which isn't covered in the video is easy to find online or in the links below.

There is a lot of useless ramblings in the video, i decided to leave them in to give as much information as possible so its quite a long one...

Paddles have been on a few weeks now with no issues and work perfectly.

The lighting for the paddles is taken care of by the standard loom on the steering wheel, no modifications are needed here provided you're using the standard M5 steering wheel loom, it will just light up with the rest of the wheel.

At the gear selector on the purple 4 pin MQS plug (x1561) pin 3 is UP and pin 2 is DOWN

BMW part number for the 4 pin female MQS plug used at gear selector:

61 13 8 380 696 (Quantity 1)

BMW part number for the 4 pin male MQS plug used at gear selector:

61 13 6 925 611 (Quantity 1)
