The Advanced Training on Spatial Data Management took place in February 2013 at the University of West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. This week-long training provided both spatial data managers and IT specialist an in depth review of spatial data management and sharing tools, particularly open-source tools and programming language to customize the GeoNode. This was in partnership with OpenDRI, University of West Indies - St. Augustine, World Bank's Latin America and Caribbean region, and also made possible with financial support from the European Union (EU)-funded Africa Caribbean Pacific-European Union Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Program.
