How to fix a GM or Chevrolet P1682 engine Code: Driver 5 Line 2 "Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2." There are two ignition voltages supplied to the ECM.
The first ignition voltage (Ignition-1) supplies a constant voltage to the ECM even when the key is off.
The second ignition voltage (Ignition-2) supplies voltage when the key is on.
A P1682 Code is set when there is a voltage difference between these two circuits.

Possible Causes of a P1682 Code:
Bad Relay / Blown Fuse (ECM / IGN)
Faulty Ignition Switch
Wiring (Open Short)
