Edit: It is recommended to use silicon oil instead of dish soap, I bought Traxxas shock oil. You'll use it on more than just these, so it's worth having on hand. I think dawn may be fine, but certain soaps have a chemical in them that can break down these kinds of plastics.

I actually like these now. One problem was a design choice, the other was probably a production error.
