Bengaluru Hit By Severe Rain Flooding, Rain Triggers Flooding & Traffic Woes

Bengaluru, the IIT hub of India, has been severely affected by incessant rainfall since early Tuesday morning, causing widespread waterlogging. The rain has even flooded Asia's largest mall, the Phoenix Mall. An orange alert has been issued, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected. Schools, colleges and workplaces have been advised to remain closed. Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, D.K. Shivkumar, is assessing the situation and discussing relief measures. However, H.D. Kumaraswamy has criticised the government's weak policies for the city's crumbling infrastructure.
