Plastic Fantastic Part 2

So why the new version of Plastic Fantastic part 2?
Well in a word: Google, or in 2 words that have become one word: YouTube. Same thing.

As I'm sure most of you are already aware, Google decided to remove all YouTube income from people who are now considered 'not big enough', and stopped all advertising on channels not meeting their newly invented thresholds. In Troogle language this is called maintaining the ecosystem or something. In YouTube creator's language this is called something else.

So all the ads have gone, but the show goes on. Maybe one day eh.. even if it's only enough for a coffee, at least it'll be one seriously satisfying cuppa.. but by then who knows what they'll have come up with. Then we received a copyright notice from Google. Nothing to worry about it says, just that 2 of the songs you are using have now been monetized. Okay.. so what does that mean? Well, it means that this video is now monetized!

Monetized? Yes, monetized! Our video now contained adverts, and all the income from these ads goes to the music agencies, and Google. Not a cent goes to the creator.

Furthermore, this video is now banned from any advertising income for the creator, forever. It is now an eternal source of income for someone else. But my channel is too small and unworthy of adverts, how can this be? Apparently it's big enough for the new 'ecosystem', just not big enough for creators to earn a share.

Is it so unreasonable to suggest a fair share for all parties involved? It can't be that difficult. Troogle?

Taking no action leaves this as the status quo. Removing the song will ruin the tutorial. The only other acceptable option therefore was to find some more free music, and replace the first version of 'Plastic Fantastic Part 2' with this new edit.

Edit: After deleting version 1, and uploading this new version, we received another copyright notice straight away. Once again this was for some free music, which one day become very not free. Please welcome version 3.


Apart from three new tunes, it's exactly the same.
