Anupriya Patel Raises Quota Issue In UP Govt Jobs; Opposition Gets Fresh Ammunition Against BJP

Union minister Anupriya Patel wrote a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and raised questions over the recruitment process in government jobs. Patel said reserved category vacancies were sometimes being filled with general category candidates and the reason being cited is that no suitable reserved category candidate has been found for the post. Patel further stated that candidates from OBC/SC/ST categories were often declared 'not found suitable' for the posts reserved for them. "The posts are then declared unreserved," she added.
