When I first started diamond painting I always read that you should frame them behind glass to stop the drills falling off and to keep dust off the drills.

So, after I finished my very first diamond painting which was a 60 x 60 and took a long time as I was totally new to diamond painting, I got it professionally framed.

It looked really nice but the framing was very expensive and the reflections in the glass really irritated me. I wanted to see the diamond painting from anywhere in the room without seeing reflections of windows or lamps.

So I started looking for an alternative and found magnetic frames, no reflection but they aren't designed to hold the weight of a large diamond painting and they only come in a few sizes.

So I went to my local hardware store and bought strips of wood that I could cut to any size and spray any colour.

Then I bought a stapler so I could staple the canvas to the wood so there was no chance of the canvas falling from the frame.

I found string to staple to the back of the top bar so it looks like a magnetic frame.

I also found plastic sleeves that I can put the rolled up canvases in when they aren't being hung on the wall.

I've had a few canvases hanging for years now and dust hasn't become an issue.

The drills still shine like they should.
