Woman found shot to death after crashing SUV into tree in north Houston

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman was found shot to death inside an SUV that crashed into a tree late Saturday night in north Houston.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of Caruso Forest. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct 1's office responded to reports of gunfire and located a silver SUV that had crashed in front of a residence.

A female driver was found deceased inside the vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators believe the shooting took place nearby along the roadway before the vehicle veered off and crashed.
