Dr Peter West is an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Northeastern University London. His research examines and recovers the work of typically marginalised figures in the history of philosophy, especially women philosophers.

Peter is currently working on a British Academy/Leverhulme-funded project on ‘Women at the Dawn of Analytic Philosophy’. This project brings to light the lives and ideas of a generation of women in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s in Britain.

In the summer of 2024, he spent some time as a Visiting Fellow at CRASSH.
