Here's a tutorial o made after attempting to recreate a crude version of UE5’s Nanite in Blender using Geometry Nodes to optimize high-poly scenes without losing detail! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how I used Blender’s Geometry Nodes to reduce the polycount of complex meshes as they move away from the camera. inspired by Unreal Engine 5's revolutionary approach. This simple geo nodes setup is more of a fun experiment, so take it with a grain of salt, and don't disregard other scene optimisation best practices!
