💰 Why such a sharp increase?
Because of two major tax components applied to fantasy gaming:

30% TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) on net winnings

28% GST on the full value of entry fees (as mandated by the GST Council in October 2023)

So if you win ₹1,00,000 on Dream11, you’re likely taking home just ₹70,000 after TDS — and that’s before any platform fees or GST deductions.
