Train your dog to walk on leash and heel using luring (in this case a treat) - a non invasive dog training technique using no force or punishment.

When it comes to leash training a dog, you can face 2 problems: either your dog is shy, the leash makes them nervous and they don't want to follow or they pull.

This step by step leash training will help you solve those 2 problems.

Distractions play a huge part in dog training, that's why it is essential to start training in a familiar environment first, with low distractions, your garden for example.

Go over each step slowly, practice 5 minutes every day and when your dog nails all 4 steps you can then move to an environment with more distractions, like in front of your home.

Repeat steps 1 to 4 in each new environment, you need to build it up slowly.
