6029 led a mammoth train from Thirlmere to Bathurst, with diesels 4501, 4201 and 4916 mid train. Given flooding issues on the Main South, what was initially planned to be two separate trains were amalgamated into one, and left Picton when the line was reopened.

Regrettably, given the uncertainty about when, and if, the train would be able to travel to Bathurst, passengers were unable to travel on it as planned.

The Railmotor Society also ran a tour train on the west for a weekend tour around the Parkes area.

This video shows a clip of the Railmotor at Glenbrook and then three shots of 6029 and its train at Faulconbridge, Leura and Wambool. The Leura shot is included primarily to give some idea of the weather conditions for much of its trip.

All in all, a great effort by THNSW and their crews and volunteers on what was a very challenging day.
