A flexible PVC tube assembled to a rigid y-connector using the new flexible adhesives is tested using an Instron mechanical properties tester. Under tensile load the adhesive holds strong while the PVC tubing elongates and eventually breaks. The adhesive bond exceeds the strength of the tube yielding substrate failure.
