The HIDDEN Meaning Behind These STRANGE Cat Behaviors

Описание к видео The HIDDEN Meaning Behind These STRANGE Cat Behaviors

Cats are surprisingly complex creatures with a wide range of complex behaviors. Their body language, when observed by cat owners such as yourself, can actually tell you quite a lot about your pet. There are many things to learn about cats, however, we've gotten our hands on a list that includes five of the strangest things that cats have been seen doing according to cat experts in the field. In today’s video, we’ll take a look at the 5 strangest cat behaviors and their meaning!
If your cat kneads by tucking his or her paws under themselves regularly and then pushing them down, it's likely that he or she is in a peaceful, relaxed state of mind. Even if not all kittens do it, and as cats get older they tend to stop, some still continue to knead when they feel happy.
Do they raise their behind when you're petting them? If this is the case, your cat wants you to keep doing what you're doing because, from their perspective, you are petting them in the perfect spot. Don’t forget to maybe switch directions or change spots altogether so that they don't feel imbalanced with one side being scratched more than another.
If your cat is rubbing their head against you, she is happy to see you! Cats have scent glands on their faces and adorable whiskers, which help them smell better when they rub themselves against your or someone else's skin in a process called Flehming. Did you know that cats will sometimes rub their scent glands on door frames and window posts before leaving a room to mark an unfamiliar territory as their own?
When your cat notices a bird outside the window, he or she may start talking to it by clicking its teeth. This noise is made by repeatedly smacking its lips in a very unique way as if your cat is creating audible chirp sounds. Several reasons for why this behavior occurs include creating vibrations that mimic birds' chirps, and even mimicking the sound of bones cracking with age when some cats grow older.
Cats like to hide under blankets when it's cold outside, but instead of a blanket, they'll tuck their feet and tails, and sometimes even their noses, under their own body to stay cozy without getting too hot. The average cat's normal body temperature is between 100 and 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit, so in extremely cold temperatures they might need you to give them an extra sweater!
