We are given Employees table which has employee_id, name and salary. employee id is the unique identifier for this table

we are asked to write a solution to calculate the bonus of each employee.

The bonus of an employee is 100% of their salary if
1. the ID of the employee is an odd number and
2. the employee's name does not start with the character 'M'.
The bonus of an employee is 0 otherwise.

In this video, we are discussing two different approach

** Approach 1: Brute Force Method **
This method uses the UNION ALL operator to combine two SELECT statements. The first SELECT statement retrieves employees who meet the conditions and assigns their salary as the bonus. The second SELECT statement retrieves employees who do not meet the conditions and assigns a bonus of 0.

** Approach 2: Using CASE Statement **
This method leverages the CASE statement to determine the bonus directly within a single SELECT query. The CASE statement checks the conditions and assigns the appropriate bonus value.
