Designing for a client is always a mix of challenge and ease—it's like designing for yourself, filled with countless ideas. When Anwar shared his dreams and aspirations for his dream home, ideas we'd often discussed casually over the years, we knew this project would be as much ours as his.

The house embodies a tropical aesthetic by blending Kerala's traditional architecture with contemporary styles. It embraces imperfections and impermanence through a mix of bold colours and natural wood textures. Rooted in nostalgia, the design reinterprets traditional motifs in a modern context, achieving a unique and harmonious presence. With its simple form and modest character, the house connects deeply with its surroundings while asserting its own identity. This approach effectively captures the essence of Kerala's architectural heritage while offering a fresh interpretation that balances uniqueness with contextual sensitivity.
