If any person insults or voluntarily injures or threatens or sexually or intentionally denies food or liquid to a person with disabilities, he shall be punished under Section 92 of the PWD Act, which is the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Indian law is now very strict to protect the dignity and fundamental rights of persons with disabilities, under Section 92 of the PWD Act, insulting or harassing persons with disabilities is punishable by six months to five years in prison.
