Driving from Bellinzona via the A13 motorway to the south portal of the San Bernardino tunnel. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Swiss Alps with a view of the breathtaking mountain landscape in the cantons of Ticino and Grisons.

Bellinzona is a historic city in Switzerland and the capital of the canton of Ticino. The city is known for its three castles (Castelgrande, Montebello, Sasso Corbaro), which have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. The city has around 43,000 inhabitants and is the second largest in the canton after Lugano.

The Italian-speaking part of Switzerland is the sunny part of Switzerland and exudes a Mediterranean atmosphere with its overgrown landscape.

The road trip ends on the south side of the San Bernardino tunnel. The 6.6 km long San Bernardino Tunnel is one of the central Alpine crossings in Switzerland at an altitude of around 1650 metres (5410 feet).
