This video is the first part to setting up a Nightscout site for controlling your Blood readings to view and control from any device on the cloud around the world.

I will be doing more videos and adding them to the site, please help by subscribing and a thumbs up and I hope these videos will make it just a little bit easier on the setup process. I have also done it on stages so that you can do each stage at your own pace.

Part 1: Setting up the Github Account
To follow along visit The Diabetic Way
1. Part 1: Setting up the Github
2. Create a user account by going to Github
3. Github: https://github.com/
4. Click on sign up for Github
5. Fill in your details and write them down in a safe place.

6. Create your own unique username, email address, and password (also write these down)
7. Make sure it's at least 15 characters OR at least 8 characters, including a tiny number and letter.
8. Make sure you are a real person and not a bot by turning around the image of an animal until it is standing... and then you'll be able to click on the green "create an account" at the bottom of the page
9. Do not forget to check your email to verify your account

10. You can choose the free plan for this task. You can skip the survey questions in the second step if you like
11. After verified and logged in, go to the main Nightscout repository here
12. Once you’re verified and logged in, go to the Nightscout Main repository

14. Now make your own copy of the project by “forking” it:
15. Click on the Fork button in the upper right
16. After a moment, you will have your own fork of the project.
17. Bookmark this page,( thediabeticways / cgm-remote-monitor) for revisits from time to time.
18. In your case the name you made for ( Your Github account name / cgm-remote-monitor)

19. Go back to your Github account and click on the Octocat icon to refresh your page.
20. You now have your own copy of the Nightscout repository
21. Bookmark this page,(main Nightscout repository) for revisits from time to time
