"I have already welcomed President George Bush and Laura Bush in this their first visit to India. I would now like to welcome the US CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) who have travelled for this historic meeting."

"The Prime Minister (Singh) and I have had some really constructive dialogue, starting in Washington, DC and then here in New Delhi. I would characterise our relationship as warm and results orientated. Warm because he is a humble man who cares deeply about the people of India and he's a good thinker, he can see beyond the horizon which is necessary. I say results orientated because it's one thing to shake hands and smile for the camera but it's another thing to deliver results on behalf of our people.

STORYLINE:
US President George W. Bush and India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met in New Delhi on Tuesday with heads of companies from both countries.
Speaking at the meeting Bush said dialogue between himself and Singh had been constructive and that the two leaders have a warm and results-orientated relationship.
He said he was keen that the US and India are able to achieve mutually beneficial goals.
Both leaders thanked company leaders from India and those who travelled from the US to attending the meeting.
Earlier, the two leaders announced an agreement on a landmark nuclear deal, a coup for Bush's first visit to India.
Bush is in India as part of a scheduled trip which is expected to take him to Pakistan on Friday.
