Dr. Anahy Fonseca, Jussara Korngold, Anne Sinclair and Marcia Trajano meet to discuss the shadow within. Most specifically, they talk about the positive and negative implications of the shadow. Joanna de Angelis' mentions that the shadow, meaning the dark side of the personality, can be analyzed as a legacy of the events we would prefer to forget or deny they ever existed. Unfortunately, these events continue to be present as a mechanism of self-punishment, and lead to conflicts and complexes.

Dr. Fonseca references Joanna de Angelis' to bring light to the idea that the shadow in human behavior leads to the fragmentation of the psyche into two Selves, and may lead a patient to lose his or her identification between the archetypes of good and evil, right and wrong.
