2023 recap - this is what 220h of airtime looks like

What an amazing year. While editing this recap and going through my footage from not even a year ago i really saw my personal progression and it made me realize what it means to fly 200h+ in a single year.

Some stats for those who take interest:
- 368 takeoffs - that includes toplandings, but also days where i did 11 runs in Kössen
- 3803km of total flight distance - of course, also thermaling.. so a bit of a senseless number
- 177,6km - that was my longest flight of the 2023 season and also my longest overall (so far;))
- 219:56 hours of total airtime.. im sure those 4 mins will be added before the end of the year

I basically went flying whenever i could and also traveled a bit, both for competitions (which only started this year, DHV newcomer challenges... next years way more) but also with friends just to have fun. Also, those daily hike&flys after work also count up in the summer... you'd be surprised how many "meh" days and even evenings turn out way better than the forecast told you.


I can't wait for next year.. many many competitions to come, some exciting holidays, many hours of airtime, lots of progression and tons of fun. :)
