The Sparkle Top is a sleek and minimalist piece designed to be a versatile wardrobe essential. It features delicate straps, princess seams, and a slightly dropped waist. The clean lines and close fit create a modern silhouette, perfect for layering or wearing on its own. Plus, the optional dress view adds a touch of casual sophistication, making it easy to style for both laid-back and more polished looks.

This INTERMEDIATE LEVEL sewing pattern comes with BEGINNER FRIENDLY instructions and illustrations to make the construction process straightforward. You will learn a variety of techniques, such as installing an invisible zipper, gathering fabric, and sewing a fully lined bodice. No serger is required for the top view, making it accessible for those with basic sewing machines!

- 0 - 34, which correlate to Full Bust 30"-55.5" and Waist 24"-54"
- The pattern includes a fully lined option for both the top and dress views, making it adaptable for various fabric types and preferences. Designed for a B cup (a 2" difference between the upper bust and full bust measurements), it also features detailed directions for full bust adjustments (FBA) or small bust adjustments (SBA) if needed.

Suitable Fabrics:
When selecting fabric for The Sparkle Top, you have a wide range of options to suit your style. Medium-weight fabrics like cotton poplin, quilting cotton, and chambray are ideal, offering a great balance between structure and comfort. For a bolder, standout look, you can even use thicker fabrics like denim. If you prefer thinner fabrics, those will work beautifully as well, though we recommend interfacing the lining to add structure and increase opacity.

However, we advise against using stretch fabrics, knits, or materials with a strong drape, as they will not hold the top’s shape as intended. For the dress view, we recommend avoiding heavier fabrics for the skirt, as they can make gathering difficult and create bulk.

The pattern also requires a lining, and we suggest choosing a fabric that’s slightly lighter in weight than your outer fabric, especially if you’re using a heavier material. Lightweight cottons are a great choice for the lining!
