The Rolex OysterDate Precision is often confused with the Oyster Perpetual and Oyster Perpetual Date, but it's an entirely different line. What they have in common is a pared down design that will stay in fashion for decades. The OysterDate lacks the 'Perpetual' label and alludes to the fact that it was one of the incredibly rare examples of Rolex that is not self-winding.

The Rolex OysterDate Precision Silver Dial Midsize Steel Vintage Watch 6466 features a stainless steel oyster case 30.0 mm in diameter, a black dial with raised baton and luminous dot hour markers, and leaf shaped hands with luminous inserts.

Penny here on SwissWatchExpo and today I'm bringing you a little bit of a throwback, because I'm looking at this vintage Rolex OysterDate from the 1960s. I think this is such a cool watch because it's got these really subtle vintage details that you may not pick up on first glance. It's got a little bit of patina on the hands and the hands are of different shape and the dials a little bit different from the Rolexes of today. But I just think it looks so cool, especially because it's a 30 millimeter watch, so it looks very at home among all the other watches today. I think it's also an extremely practical watch with this oyster bracelet and the entirely smooth bezel. To me, it's just such a cool practical watch and it's also got this like little bit of sexiness, like I could picture a bond girl wearing it. It's this mixture of like sexy and practical.
