Debbie Reynolds' Sad Farewell To Memorabilia

Charlie Chaplin's hat and the Rat Pack's suits are among the remaining Hollywood film items being auctioned off by actress Debbie Reynolds.
Reynolds was joined by her daughter Carrie Fisher for a preview of hundreds of props, costumes and jewellery.
The auction will take place this weekend but the Singin' In The Rain star admits parting with such memorable items is very hard.
"More tears. No I am very sad about it but I was sad about the first and second and third," she said.
Two previous sales made a huge $26m (£15.5m).
Harpo Marx's bowler hat could fetch thousands
Other items in the auction include Vivien Leigh's hats from Gone With The Wind and comedian Harpo Marx's top hat attached to his famed blonde curls.
"I used to live in Palm Springs and I was married (coughs), pardon the expression. I was married and it turned out badly but he used to have a friend, Groucho Marx and they would play cards and his brother was Harpo Marx and I love Harpo Marx.
"So we have Harpo's hat with his curls and that's really one of my favourites," recalled Reynolds.
Reynolds worked in Las Vegas while doing lots of other things in the 1970s. During that time she collected various tuxedos personally given to her from her buddies which were part of the Rat Pack.
"That's my favourite, all the boys, the Rat Pack," said Reynolds.
Reynolds was signed at the young age of 16 by Warner Brothers, and although her career had a slow start, in time she became one of Hollywood's most iconic actresses.

In 1970, Reynolds found out that MGM was liquidating their lot because they were declaring bankruptcy. She was devastated and decided to spend $600,000 (£358,000) and purchased all of the collectible items.
