A topic you will not see me cover all too often, but today it is up on the channel: An electric commuter (express) train! Brought to you today by international operator VIAS, connecting Arnhem in The Netherlands, with Düsseldorf in Germany!

Finding myself at the first- or last station in The Netherlands, depending how you look at it, I decided that I also had to capture one of the VIAS services, operated by their 5-car Stadler FLIRT sets! Now it's well known, the FLIRT sets have amazing acceleration capabilities, so I knew I was in for some spectacle! Now it's nowhere near as spectacular then when a diesel train gives it its all and powers away (as in yesterday's video), but it still is very impressive to watch those electric units fly off! After all, they are ofcourse a lot more powerful than any comparable diesel unit!

And ofcourse, the same goes for this unit! Just look at that unit flying off!!
