Typhoon Bebinca, the 13th typhoon to form this year, made a dramatic landfall in Shanghai early Monday morning, around 7:30 am, according to reports from the Shanghai Central Meteorological Observatory. The typhoon, with winds near its center reaching a ferocious 42 meters per second, crashed ashore in the Lingang area, located in Shanghai’s Pudong district. This storm, hailed as the most powerful to hit Shanghai in 75 years, has engulfed the city with violent gales and unrelenting torrential rain, leaving significant destruction in its wake.
