Something that has bothered me for a very long time in this country is the disproportionate amount of taxes small businesses are asked to pay. 70% of the jobs in this country are created by small businesses. They work far longer hours than most. Take more chances. Create more jobs and carry the burden with them home every day and still are asked to pay a punitive amount of taxes should then heaven forbid become somewhat successful. Small business owners get it from all sides.

• Tax on growth
• Tax on passive assets
• Tax on higher capital gains inclusion


We all need to pay our fair share and to contribute. The key word is ‘fair’.
