Our universe in a box | Claire Lee | TEDxKlagenfurt

Описание к видео Our universe in a box | Claire Lee | TEDxKlagenfurt

Claire Lee, a particle physicist on the ATLAS experiment at CERN, experiments with the smallest building blocks in the universe to figure out how they all fit together and create the world we live in. In her talk Claire, using Lego blocks, gives an insight into physics at the LHC and helps the audience understand the universe a bit better.

It always was and still is humanity´s goal to understand how our cosmos works. We do not only need to understand other galaxies, stars and planets far away, but also the smallest particles comprising us. Claire Lee is a particle physicist working at the high energy frontier at CERN, researching the smallest particles making up our universe, and the ways in which they interact. She believes that particle physics - and science in general - is fun and exciting, and is something that everyone should feel a part of.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
