Windscreen small chip fix

You just know that one of those small chips in the windscreen will turn into a big crack, probably at the most inconvenient time possible. And your "exotic car" has an "unavailable replacement windscreen. The repair kits are designed for those star type cracks up to 1 inch (2cm) diameter, but can they be used for those smaller chips???
I don't know, lets find out...
I'm assuming the resin tube is not re-useable after opening, but I'm going to save the other bits from the kit.
Dig deep thru your pile of old computer printer papers - you may just have one of those old overhead projector acetate sheets in there.
It's almost like preventive maintenance.
