Here is "Bio Logika and Submersion" whose goal is to educate the children to the risks of dam's lake submersion when opening the valves and sea submersion, which indeed both cause #tsunamis of #wood and #mud. This Bio Logika also shows that when the flow of water is controlled, when people live too close to the river and when there is no system of true alert, it can lead to massive and terrible events of submersion, which cause some huge damage on cities, villages, people and things.
"Bio Logika and Submersion" was created after the terrible flood caused by the #Roya river in #Italy, which submerged the whole valley and the city of #Ventimiglia on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2020. The goal is that we never forget what happened during these days, understand the true water context of the #territory which led to the flood, so it never happens again in the future, as we know it's a combination of heavy rains + human decisions which led to this drama.
"Bio Logika and Submersion" is composed of many details which tell a lot about the situation in order for the children to understand how a management of territory can lead to some terrible issues which will forever be anchored in the population's mind as a trauma.
This issue should be largely shared at school in #geography classes, because if it is important for the children to learn that we use #hydraulicpower as a source of energy, it is also essential that they know the risks, because in the end, #water power might not be an optimal solution to get #energy.
