You can use either descaling tabs (there are many brands of descaling tabs out there) or mix half vinegar/water, in the demo I'm just using water as it was recently done.

I have had this coffee machine for many years and so far it has worked flawlessly I will recommend descaling the coffee brewer approximately every 6 months. this type of coffee machine uses a disc which is a lot thinner than a Keurig coffee machine uses.one thing that I find is a huge benefit with this Tassimo machine compared to the Keurig as I turn it off when I'm not using it and when I turn it on to brew a cup of coffee it only takes seconds to start brewing however I find with the Keurig coffee machine it takes approximately one or two minutes to warm up before you can start brewing a cup of coffee.
