As the European Commission advances its preparations for a grid package, questions around how to allocate the costs and benefits of cross-border energy infrastructure and unlock necessary investments are becoming increasingly central. To discuss this further, CERRE invites you to join a public webinar on 24 June from 13:00-14:30 CET on “Investing in Europe’s Cross-Border Infrastructure”.

The event will open with an academic presentation of CERRE’s report on “Cross-Border Cost Allocation for Electricity Transmission Networks”, by Prof Bert Willems, CERRE Research Fellow and Université Catholique de Louvain, Dr Christine Brandstätt, Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure.

This will be followed by a panel discussion on “Financing and allocating costs for cross-border networks” from 13:35 to 14:30 CET with representatives from Terna, RTE, ACER, Utility Regulator Northern Ireland, Ofgem, and MEP Tobback.
