How To Paint Wood Paneling The RIGHT Way

In this video we show you how to paint wood paneling the RIGHT way...by first using an oil-based primer to seal in the tannins. We also used a paint sprayer to save hours and hours of painting all the cracks & crevices. We absolutely LOVE how this living room makeover turned out! Tannins are natural coloring in wood and wood stain that will bleed through any water-based/latex paint that you apply. No matter how many coats you keep putting on, the paint will not cover UNLESS you first seal it in with an oil-based primer. Although oil-based primers are very nasty/fume-y, this step is crucial to have a quality final product.
