1. Natural causes affects the look of an oil painting. Moisture can change the tone of a painting. Dirt, dust and other particles can have an adverse effect on health of a painting on a long term, it also makes the painting dull as a layer of dust is the last thing you would wish on top of your painting.

2. Limit the use of color Black and White. Always remember "every shadow in the painting is not black and every highlight is not white."

3. Use colors which complements other colors in your palette. Learn more and more about oil colors, its composition, drying time, color mixing, opacity, reaction when mixed with other colors, solvents or mediums, relationship with other colors. Color Wheel is the key!

4. The way you paint also affects the look of the painting. Avoid using dirty brush, load enough color in your brush - no need to skimp on colors. Don't over blend, idea is to have an adequate amount of paint on the surface instead of draging a tiny drop of paint on the whole canvas surface.

If you are wondering why these are bonus tips and are not featured in the video. Its due to two main reasons, either its too basic or subjective hence wasting time by making the video longer and not giving much value or i don't have a 100% solution of the cause, i.e. any natural cause. But its always good to spread knowledge just as good as it is to accept reality ..... sometimes.
