My magnus Opus as it were, in production for over 2,5 years
With the help of Simbaro and Cmaggot on backgrounds
we are proud to present the animation of the song by Ponyphonic
"Lullaby for a Princess".
This animation is based on the background story of Celestia and Luna
as told in the mlp:FiM S1E1 opening. This Project started before the flashback scene in S4E1 where the same story is told.
we tried to stay close to our vision but changed a few items to make our animation fit the cannon more. example: first the crown would fall instead of the ellement of magic.
but we decided to keep the mane pink.

hey you two! I won't lie, I've been trying for hours to find an easy way to say this, but, today i have a my little pony reaction video for you! This is a fan-made animation based on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic lore, specifically the relationship between Princess Celestia and her younger sister, Luna. it takes place one thousand years before the first episode of the show, and is fully canonical. The two sisters represent the sun and moon, using their magic to keep the sky in balance after freeing the world from a chaotic tyrant in ages past. In the show’s backstory, Luna gradually over eons became jealous and resentful because ponies slept through her night and neglected her, while celebrating Celestia and her day. Consumed by bitterness, loneliness, and no small amount of trauma (which she continues to tackle well into the show's run), she transformed under her own darkness. At a moment of desperation, Celestia was forced to make a choice, and this music video details her guilt of that choice.
