Say hello to silky microfoam milk with the Barista Pro™’s manual milk texturing wand. While it can be challenging to get it just right, even for professional baristas, we have got you covered with this step-by-step guide on how to turn milk into microfoam perfection with the Barista Pro™.

Directions:
1. Using fresh, cold milk, fill the jug to just below the spout position and place the steam tip over the drip tray.
2. Turn the dial to ‘Steam’ which will purge out any water that is condensed. Wait until the steam is at full strength then turn the dial to ‘Standby’ to pause.
3. Within 8 seconds, insert the steam wand into the jug, looking for one to two centimeters below the surface of the milk.
4. Move the dial to the ‘Steam’ position and keep the tip of the steam wand just under the surface of the milk until the milk is spinning clockwise, producing a whirlwind effect.
5. With the milk spinning, slowly lower the jug. This will bring the steam tip to the surface of the milk and start to introduce air into the milk. You may have to gently break the surface of the milk with the tip to get the milk spinning fast enough.
6. Keep the tip at or slightly below the surface while continuing to maintain the whirlpool.
7. Texture the milk until sufficient volume is obtained. The milk is at the correct temperature - 140-150 degrees Fahrenheit - when the jug is hot to touch.
8. Once the desired temperature is reached move the ‘Steam dial’ to the vertical position before taking the wand tip out of the milk.
9. Set the jug to one side and wipe the wand and tip with a damp cloth.
10. Position the steam tip above the drip tray and open the steam dial to purge out any residual milk.
11. Tap the jug on the bench to collapse any bubbles. Now you are ready to create latte art.

Remember different brands and types of milk, and milk alternatives will texture differently, so you may need to adjust your texture levels accordingly.
