To be of true value to humans, the areas to which AI are applied should correspond - in priority, in type, and in degree of focus - to the human hierarchy of needs.
In this talk, Nathalie will provide an overview of the AI landscape as it currently maps to human needs. She’ll walk us through how the present degree of focus, and the percentage of solutions, in AI, compare to the priority and ‘size’ of common human needs. She’ll then share perspectives on what is working well and not in this current state, and what we should stop, start and continue.

Bio: Nathalie Crosbie drives strategy, delivery, business development, and customer success for the enterprise-wide AI-Technology team at the Bank of Montreal. She is also an Advisor/Coach for startups and individuals, including entrepreneurs and founders with Ryerson University's Social Ventures Zone (SVZ) Incubator. Nathalie has fifteen years of experience in tech providing strategy, product, UX, and people leadership to create award-winning experiences. She has served as a consultant to AI startups in fintech, legal tech and health, and held leadership roles focussed on User Experience Design, Product and People for well-known Canadian companies like Shopify and Rogers.
