Local Freight Switcher Passing Old Signals Still In Use! Columbus Ohio Trains, Late Crossing Gates!

CSX local freight arriving to switch a railroad customer on an industrial railway spur in Columbus, Ohio. The railway crossing gates malfunctioned slightly. Next we see a very old historical railroad line side signal that is still in use on the CSX mainline. Then we see some Norfolk Southern mixed freight trains at the Cooke Rd level railroad crossing. The local switcher that I filmed entering the brewery customer is the same train returning past the signals. I was able to show the colors change from red to yellow to green and then the signals shut off completely. Those type signals are now becoming rare since most signals are being replaced with Safe Tran signals nationally. This video was filmed just north of downtown Columbus, Ohio just off I-71 in the Worthington area. I stayed nearby at the Motel 6 on Sinclair Rd that has an excellent view of these 3 tracks from the rooms. I stay here once a year to attend 18 hours of CEUs to keep my government license active in case I ever want to come out of retirement and work in Ohio. The Old Cooke Rd location is very popular with the local railfans and there is a hobby shop nearby called The Train Station on Indianola Ave. They really do have some awesome HO scale model trains and accessories!
