For over 30 years, Our Co-founder, Venki, had a problem. As an avid trekker and traveler, he couldn’t find the right gear in India—nothing that truly fit his needs or his taste. His search for quality outdoor clothing and equipment led him far from home, to markets in Nepal and North America.

It was this decades-long struggle that ignited a powerful idea: to stop looking for a solution and to create one.
And so, Gokyo was born.
