Dr. Kuba Mrożek (IQM Quantum Computers).
Automatic calibration and benchmarking of IQM quantum processing units.

The promise of quantum computing speeding up the execution of certain computational tasks cannot be achieved without quality hardware. Superconducting qubits are one of the most mature technologies for an implementation of a quantum processing unit (QPU), and such devices are already available to be used by researchers in cloud and on premises, among them ones made by IQM. I will describe the IQM architecture, and the methods for fast, reliable and automatic calibration and benchmarking of IQM devices, specifically 2QB gates based on a floating tunable transmon coupler [1], allowing CZ gate fidelity up to of 99.8% and single qubit gates [2] of fidelity up to 99.98%. I will then also mention our QPU-level benchmarking results, such as a 20-qubit GHZ state with fidelity 62%, signifying genuine multipartite entanglement.
